Steps to make Kadala curry:
- Cook the chickpeas is soaked for at least 8hours with a little salt & sufficient water. And Keep it without removing water.
- Heat a pan and add oil. Put the grated coconut & fry until it turns brown. Grind it to a smooth paste & keep a side.
- Same pan heat oil in a pan,add mustard seed & allow to sputters, then add ginger, garlic, & curry leaves, red chillies and saute for few minutes.
- Add onion, green chilli and saute until onion turns light golden brown colour. Then add kadala curry masala and stir well.
- To this mixture add cooked chickpeas along with water & boil well.
- Add coconut paste, salt and water and cook for few minute in medium flame.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
