  13. Make a crisscut on top so that the inside doesnt pop when it is getting baked
  14. Bake 30 minutes till golden brown
  15. Cool
  16. Put on a serving dish (we like this with a cup of freshly brewed coffee)

This tart can be made using a simple oven proof plate. I made this and it turned out so perfect! One variation I made it with fresh apple, not canned apples, that's why it soooo good! This single-crust apple pie is baked upside-down in a skillet, creating a Just returned from France where I had apple tart tatin three times. This recipe was the BEST of them all!
