The ingredients needed to make Spaghetti cake:
- Get 200 gm spaghetti
- Take 2 tbsp salt add to the water in which spaghetti is boiled
- Take 2 litres water to boil the spaghetti
- Get 1/2 red coloured capsicum
- Prepare 1/2 yellow coloured capsicum
- Get 1 green coloured capsicum
- Make ready 2 medium sized tomatoes
- Prepare 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Prepare 4 tbsp whole wheat flour
- Make ready 6 cubes processed cheese
- Get 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
- Get To taste Salt for the remaining items
- Get 1 tsp dry mixed herbs
- Get 1.5 tsp chilli flakes
- Make ready 1 cup fresh cream
- Take 1/2 cup milk
Use an offset spatula to spread ricotta evenly. Run a knife around the inside edge of the pan and invert the spaghetti cake onto a large platter. Return to room temperature before proceeding. Finely grate in the cheese and crack in the eggs, mix well, then stir in the cooked spaghetti.
Steps to make Spaghetti cake:
- In a broad vessel take water, add salt and few drops of oil. Keep it for boiling.
- Add spaghetti to the boiled water. When the spaghetti will get cooked it will slide down into the water and get cooked in 10 minutes.
- Drain the excess water from the spaghetti and keep it aside.
- Finely chop red, yellow and green capsicums and the tomatoes.
- In a mixing bowl take the finely chopped capsicums and tomatoes.
- Now add chopped coriander leaves, wheat flour, black pepper powder, salt, red chilli flakes, mixed dry herbs, fresh cream and milk to the mixing bowl.
- Mix well everything and add 4 cubes of grated processed cheese and spaghetti to the bowl.
- Mix well and transfer the mixture to a round cake mould.
- Spread the grated cheese of the remaining 2 cubes above it and let the cake bake for about 30-35 minutes in a pre-heated at 200°C.
- After the savoury cake cools down remove it from the tin and serve it with tomato ketchup.
Tip the spaghetti mixture over the top and spread out evenly. Drain, run under cold water to stop it cooking, drain again and set aside. Lightly grease a springform cake pan. In a large bowl, combine cooked and slightly cooled spaghetti with beaten eggs. Place one-third of the spaghetti mixture in the bottom of the prepared pan.
