- You can use seasonal fruits when making this sangria if you like. You can add peach, nectarine, or plum halves or even slices of orange.
- The dried figs that I used were quite small, about 2 cm in diameter. I used dates that were 5 cm long.
- From the top, going clockwise, we have dates, raisins, figs, longans, and goji berries. The recipe photo shows a sangria with nectarine also added.
Sangria Recipe Variations: As I mentioned above, the beauty of sangria is that it's really more of a method than an exact recipe. So just gather whatever ingredients you have on hand and customize a batch to your liking! In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, mango, peach, sugar, and Grand Marnier. To a large pitcher, add refrigerated fruit and apple, orange, and lime slices. In a large pitcher, mix together wine, orange juice, brandy, and sugar then stir in oranges, apples, blueberries, and strawberries.
