Steps to make Goan style fish fry:
- Marinate the pearl spot (karimeen) with salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and keep it aside for sometime.
- Grind all the spices together - peppercorn, cumin seeds, cinnamon, fenugreek seeds, cloves, turmeric powder, mustard seeds, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, sugar, salt and vineger and run it into a smooth paste.
- Add vineger to get the paste consitency.
- Apply this paste into the fish and marinate it for about 15 - 30 minutes.
- Heat some oil in a pan and keep the gas on medium flame.
- Sprinkle the besan on top of the fish, flip it and again sprinkle it with besan.
- Fry it and make sure that they are cook evenly from both the sides.
- Delicious crispy goan style fish fry is ready to be served. Serve hot !
