Steps to make Murighanto:
  1. Rinse the rice and fry it without oil for 5 -6 min on medium flame and keep aside.
  2. Marinate head of the fish with salt and turmeric powder and keep aside. Heat a pan add mustard oil and fry till it gets crispy. Break it into small pieces.
  3. In same pan add bay leaf, dry red chilli, cinnamon, cardamom whole cumin saute. Add chopped onion and fry till it becomes golden brown.
  4. Take all the masala powder except garam masala powder and soak in water in a bowl. Add the soaked masala powder and fry. Add ginger, garlic paste and slitted green chillesi and fry till the aroma comes out.
  5. Add rice and stir. Add water(double of rice) and cover the pan.
  6. After 10 min open the lid add ghee garam masala broken fish head and sugar and mix properly.
  7. Gobindo bhog chaler murighanto is ready to be served
