However, I found the whole process pretty time consuming, but with this recipe, it is much easier and faster, because we only need to cut the stuffed gnocchi roll into. Put the spinach and peas in a non-stick pan with some seasoning and a splash of water, and heat, stirring, until the spinach has wilted. Add the pesto and crème fraîche, and gently heat through. Cook the gnocchi in a pan of boiling water following pack instructions then scoop out with a slotted spoon into the spinach pan.

- Season gnocchi with salt and pepper. Serve with spinach pesto and some fresh cherry tomatoes.
Melt the butter in a large frying pan over a medium high heat. Once heated, add the gnocchi and pan fry until golden in colour. Remove from the heat, and set aside. Return the gnocchi to the pan, then stir the pesto through the mixture. First, I made a simple basil pesto sauce to go with our crispy gnocchi.
