I've spent a very long time looking for something similar to the recipe and this is the one that tastes the most like it but more like empress chili. put it on noodles and on top of hot dogs for coney's. Thank you Recipezaar for this one. The last time was when I was working in Dayton, Ohio. It was bad all three times.

Instructions to make Almost Cincinnati Chili:
  1. Boil the noodles in salty water and 2 tablespoons of extra Virgin olive oil. When pasta is done drain saving 1 cup of pasta water, and set aside.
  2. Break the ground beef up into tiny bits. Add chili spices, garlic, beef, and bay leaf and add to water and boil.
  3. After you boil 15-20 minutes bring to a simmer add tomato paste and blend in.
  4. Simmer for about an hour. If to thick add a little of the pasta water to thin it out. If not discard the pasta water for it will no longer be needed
  5. Add pasta to a plate. Then add oyster crackers to top of pasta then the chili.
  6. Add cheese and onions to the very top in whichever order you wish.
  7. Serve I hope you enjoy!

  10. 2nd over pasta, traditionally spaghetti noodles.
