- Serve the caramelized apple and cream pie in a plate. (Make sure the pie is frozen when you serve it).
Scatter the pecans on the custard, lightly pressing them in. In a medium bowl, combine the apple butter, caramel sauce and apple pie spice and mix until well blended. In a large non-stick skillet, bring the sugar and water to a boil. Cook without stirring until the mixture turns an amber colour.
