- Bring Veg stock to boil; introduce your grits and stir rapidly. I use Lakeside Stone Ground White
- Cover and reduce to med low / low for 10-12 mins stir occasionally
- Pat shrimp dry. Salt and pepper them. Saute Shrimp on high heat. I use grapeseed oil. Add some butter after you flip them.
- Cube havarti cheese and toss into grits. Add heavy cream and butter.
- Pour grits and add shrimp. This was a quick but full of flavor and richness was insane.
Place the grits in a bowl and cover with water. Drain the grits and place them in a large pot. Stir as mixture comes to a simmer. Add the cheese and cream and stir to combine. Bring water, grits, and salt to a boil in a heavy saucepan with a lid.
