- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Centigrade and prepare the baking tray.
- Prepare the dry ingredients by sifting the flour, salt, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and keep aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar until pale. Add the glucose syrup and continue mixing. Add the egg and beat some more until well incorporated.
- Add the dry ingredients in two additions and continue mixing until well combined. The dough should be a bit sticky.
- Using a spoon scoop out the dough in spoonfuls and roll them into balls. The balls should be small otherwise the cookies will spread too much when baked.
- Put the balls on the baking tray and space them well. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes. Remove them while still soft for they will harden as they cool. Enjoy.
