- Get 1 bay leaf (tezpath)
- Make ready 4-5 black peppercorns (kali mirch)
- Get 2-3 green cardamom (choti Elaichi)
- Prepare 6-7 whole red chillies (sabit laal mirchein)
- Get 2 cloves (long)
- Prepare 1 inch piece cinnamon
- Take 1 black cardamom (bari Elaichi)
- Get Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions to make Chicken Aloo Karahi:
- Heat oil in a wok. Add chicken and fry for 5 minutes on medium to high heat. Add ginger garlic paste and cook.
- Add tomatoes to wok. Cover with lid and let them soften. After 5 minutes, remove lid, and remove skin off tomatoes and slightly mash with back of the spoon.
- Add whole garam masala and all spices and let masala cook till oil separates.
- Add potatoes and water. Cover lid and let potatoes and chicken get tender.
- Remove lid and check for tenderness of potatoes. Add fresh cut green chillies. Garnish with coriander and serve.
