The meatballs for this sandwich were so tender and juicy! I was worried they might dry out in the crock pot, but they were moist and had a lot of flavor. I served these on whole wheat french rolls, but next time I think I'll serve them. These meatball subs are so simple to make and the perfect way to use up leftover meatballs.

Steps to make Meatball Sub:
  1. Set oven for 375°F. Put together all ingredients for meatballs. Mix by hand until fully incorporated in large bowl. Makes small balls. Place them on cookie sheet with wiped olive oil. Bake for 25 minutes.
  2. In a large pot Sauté garlic and shallot in olive oil. Crush can of tomatoes and add. Add salt and pepper. Let cook for 10 minutes. Add basil and oregano.
  3. Carefully add meatballs into sauce. Dress hoagie roll with sauce and meat balls. Cheese if you like. Bon Apetit!!
