  12. Prepare 2-3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  13. Get 2 tablespoons Sake (Rice Wine) OR Water

Add the udon, stir well and cook until al dente. Continue running under cool water, tossing, until the noodles are chilled. Yaki Udon (焼きうどん) is a Japanese udon noodles stir-fried with your choice of protein and vegetables. Protein can be thinly sliced meat or any seafood suitable for stir-fry.

Instructions to make Yakiudon:
  1. Prepare all vegetables and pork. Cut vegetables into strips and slice Pork thinly.
  2. Prepare Udon Noodles according to the instruction on the package. If you use already cooked Udon noodles, soak in hot water to loosen, then drain well.
  3. Make sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  4. Heat Oil in a large frying pan or wok, cook Pork and Vegetables and season with Salt and Pepper. Once the Pork is cooked, add Udon Noodles and toss and mix all well. Add the sauce, toss and mix to combine well.
  5. Sprinkle Katsuobushi (Bonito Flakes) and chopped Spring Onion on top and enjoy.

This is a very quick and simple udon recipe but so delicious. Yaki Udon is similar to Yakisoba but the noodles are udon. Yaki udon is the Japanese version of the stir-fried noodles, using the udon noodles with a unique flavor Japanese flavor. This is the yaki udon recipe with simples ingredients with some Japanese seasoning. It's stir fried with a savory sauce made of soy sauce and mirin.
