- Prepare 4 bay leaves
While shrimp is most commonly cooked in a low country boil, many prefer to add crab or crawfish to give this dish a Cajun flair. - Spray slow cooker with cooking spray

- Add water, garlic, and crawfish boil seasoning. Stir well.

- Add potatoes, onion, celery, bay leaves, 1/2 lemon and 1/2 orange.

- Cook on HIGH 2 ½ hours.

- Add sausage and corn. Cook an additional hour.

- Stir in shrimp gently and cook 15-20 minutes or until shrimp are pink.

- Remove bay leaves before serving.
Bring the water to a boil, and add shrimp. Heat a large pot of water over an outdoor cooker, or medium-high heat indoors. Add Old Bay Seasoning to taste, and bring to a boil. Optional: throw in a half-pound of andouille sausage if you want a traditional cajun shrimp boil recipe. Place the shrimp boil spice mix recipe and all the vegetables in the boiling water and simmer until tender.
