Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and rinse with cold water. For dressing, in a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, pickle relish, sugar substitute, mustard, salt and pepper. In a large bowl, combine the macaroni, celery, carrot and onion. Add dressing and toss gently to coat.
Steps to make Traditional Macaroni & Cheese:
- Cook the macaroni and drain. Grease large casserole dish and add pasta. Melt butter into warm pasta and mix thoroughly.
- Place milk into a saucepan and add the velveeta in pieces until cheese melts and mixture is well blended.
- Add cheese mixture to macaroni. Add dash of pepper and mix thoroughly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over macaroni until top is covered with cheese.
- Bake uncovered on center rack at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and serve.
