This is a delicious, moist and flavorful meatloaf, definitely company worthy, and it is our very favorite meatloaf recipe. Sandwiches made the next day are just awesome! My friend, Pattycake, shared this recipe with me, and now I am happy to share it with my JAP friends.

The ingredients needed to make Killer Meatloaf:
  1. Prepare 1 lb lean ground beef
  2. Take 2 hot italian sausage
  3. Take 4 tbsp ketchup
  4. Get 2 tbsp HP/A1 steak sauce
  5. Get 1 tbsp garlic powder
  6. Get 1 tbsp onion powder
  7. Take 1 egg (beaten)
  8. Get 3/4 cup bread crumbs (italian style if possible)
  9. Take 5 slice bacon

This meatloaf has nothing to do with my being Hungarian except that I am so it's an appropriate title. This is an adaption of another recipe I found elsewhere (heavily changed too I add). I happen to think it's killer. How to Make Daddy's Killer Meatloaf.

Instructions to make Killer Meatloaf:
  1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients aside from the bacon.
  2. Add meat mixture to raised loaf pan. This will allow any grease and drippings to escape and avoid a soggy loaf.
  3. Cook loaf at 400℉ for 20 minutes.
  4. After 20 minutes. Remove loaf and line the top with bacon.
  5. Place bacon wrapped loaf back in the over for another 20 minutes at 400℉ or until bacon is crispy on top.
  6. Best served with either ketchup or HP/A1 steak sauce and a bit of hot sauce.

Mix together ground chuck, tomato sauce, egg, onion, and oatmeal. For glaze: Mix together ketchup, BBQ sauce and water. Pour over cooked meatloaf and return to oven. ALL of the wives requested your recipe. You must be logged in to post a review.
