- Prepare 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Take 1 large egg
- Prepare 5 1/2 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- Take 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese.
- Make ready 1 cup speggeti sauce
- Prepare 1 salt pepper to taste.
- Make ready 15 oz whole milk ricotta or cottage cheese. i prefer ricotta when doing stuffed peppers, it's easier to work with.
Instructions to make Lasagna Stuffed Bell Peppers:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Begin by lightly salting the inside of the peppers.
- Then brown your ground beef, adding minced garlic olives, mushrooms, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Drain fat, add sauce & set aside.
- Stir in speggeti sauce, taste, add any additional seasoning to your liking.
- In a separate bowl, combine 2 tbs parmesan, egg, and ricotta cheese. Season with salt & pepper.
- Divide the ricotta mixture between peppers. Stuff peppers half full then top with meat sauce mound with mozzarella cheese. You can also allow meat sauce to cool, then combine together to stuff peppers.
- Sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan. Bake for 45 minutes.
