- Boil the potatoes, peel and cut into cubes. Heat ghee in kadai add fennel, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and hing.
Reduce the flame add turmeric, chilli powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, 1 tsp of kasthuri methi. Don't burn the masala.
- Now add cubed potatoes and enough salt. Saute for a minte and make sure masala coated all potatoes.
Mash few of the potatoes using laddle. Add a cup of water and boil another 5 minutes in medium flame.
- Now add coriander leaves, remaining kasthuri methi.
