  1. Clean and wash the chicken and keep it aside. Make cuts on the chicken as shown. This is done so that the masala enters nicely and the chicken gets well marinated.
  2. Take a bowl add yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, zeera powder, dhaniya powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, chaat masala, salt, food colour and lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients nicely.
  3. Take the chicken and start applying the above mixture. Massage the chicken for few minutes so that the masala gets absorbed.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate it. It is advisable to allow marination for abt 7 to 8 hrs or overnight, this gives you a good result and taste.
  5. Take a pan heat it with 1tbsp of olive oil or any cooking oil. Now add the marinated chicken tikka. Cook on high flame for about 4-5 mins. Turn on other side and cook in the same way. (Note: Don't cover the pan with the lid during this process). Apply the remaining masala on the chicken with oil brush and cook.
