- Cook it for 5 whistles
- Save some onins for later
- Once the pressure is gone, heat some oil in a deep pot
- Add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds
- When the mustard starts popping add the onions and chilli powder and saute for 2mins
- Next add the contents of the pressure cooker, mix well, add the required amount of salt and let it cook for 3mins
- Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander and serve hot with some rice
Chow chow (chayote) chutney is a healthy and spicy side dish that goes well with dosa and rice. It is easy and simple to make in a few minutes. In a pan, heat oil, add urad dal, toor dal, dry red chilies and cook until the dals color changes to golden brown. Take chow chow, dal, turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker.
