- Take 1 pound dried black beans
- Prepare 2 quart water

- Soak the black beans overnight. Drain and look over the beans remove any foriegn objects. Add new water to beans and put on the heat.
- Dice the onion add the summer savory and pour into the beans along with the butter.
- Dice the hog jawls add to the beans. When it has simmered for 1 hour add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for 45 minutes more. Now it's ready to serve. I hope you enjoy!!!!
