- Prepare 2 Cardamom
- Get 2 teaspoon Biryani masala
Instructions to make Veg Biryani:
- At first boil (90%) the basmati rice along with Cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves and cardamom and keep it aside
- In a bowl, pour milk (1/2cup) and put the kesar and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and put the onion and chillies in it (it should be cut in round sliced), fry for a while. Put tomato puree salt, turmeric, and fry.
- As soon as the oil starts separating, put curd and the veggies and Biryani masala and cook it for a while in a low flame.
- Now, in a handi grease it with little oil, and put a layer of the cooked veggies, then on the next layer put some boiled rice then, pour little ghee, now again put another layer of the veggies on the rice. Now put another layer of rice on it, now put some pudina leaves and pour the kesar milk mixture on it and one teaspoon liquid ghee also. And cover the Handi tightly seal with a lid for 10-15mins.
- Important note - Put the Handi on a Tawa (flat pan).
